What is SLiCE

The SLiCE study is a cross-national longitudinal study assessing health and health behaviours among university students and is conducted at universities in 13 European countries.

SLiCE is a cohort study among first year students and aims at following them for up to 5 years. The aim is to analyse health and health related behaviour as well as life perspectives among university students, to identify needs for intervention programs that could potentially improve students' health, and to detect changes in health and health related behaviour over time. Secondly, the aim is to compare health and health related behaviour among university students between available EU countries. The results of this survey will be presented at European conferences and published in scientific journals. Intermediate results will also be available at the SLiCE website.
